Kreinik metallic thread photoThis metallic rocks the house! Kreinik machine sewing metallic threads

Would you be interested in a high-speed metallic embroidery thread that performs better than the average metallic? Perhaps one that look shigh end, but is a finer weight, stronger, easier to use and fits within a reasonable price range? Then you need to meet Kreinik Machine Sewing Metallic Threads.

"We want to make the quilt-making process and the end result absolutely wonderful for you," comments Kreinik Creative Director Dena Lenham.

Kreinik Manufacturing, a family-owned thread company in West Virginia, has offered hand embroidery metallics for 35+ years. The new machine sewing metallic threads were designed using high-tech methods, creating features important to niches in the sewing market, from digitized embroidery to home sewing and longarm quilting.

The number one benefit a sewer sees right away is that the threads don't break and misbehave like typical machine sewing metallics.

"I'm working on a quilt with lots of free motion work," said artist Patty Medaris Culea, "I used it on the stars and wings and had no breakage, splitting, shredding, nothing."

The threads include:

1. Kreinik Silver Metallized Gimp, a high-speed thread designed for multi-head machines as well as single-head sewing machines. This thread is constructed using paper backing for extra strength with a coating of silver, making it anti-static and anti -microbial. Available in light gold, dark brassy gold, medium gold and silver on 1000 and 5000 meter cones, field tests ran this thread at 1300 rpm.

"High speed is correct," noted the staff at Quality Sewing and Vacuum. "We tested this thread on every type of machine we could, from home and commercial embroidery machines to home and commercial quilting machines with great success on all machines."

2. Kreinik Fine Twist and Fashion Twist are blended metallics available in silver, gold, pastel, and iris blends. Anti-microbial and enzyme-resistant qualities make them perfect for hygienic projects, fashion sewing, and fiber art. These threads come on 1000 and 3000 meter cones, and run comfortably at 700 rpm.

Kreinik machine sewing threads work on all types and brands of machines.

"I've had wonderful results using them with my Featherweight," said quilt designer Barbara Blankenship.

Ultimately, though, it's the beautiful effect of the metallic thread on your project that will capture everyone's attention.

And for any sewing, quilting, or embroidery professional, it's that stunning end result that will put the gleam in your eye.
