Fiberistic Journeys

Ann Fahl's "Wow thats orange." Click for larger imageAn exhibit of original quilts will be held at the Anderson Art Center in Kenosha, WI, January 24-March 21, 2010. An opening reception will be held on January 24, 2010.

The artists are members of a group which meets monthly to network, share and critique their work. They bring a unique blend of award-winning skills, talents and visions to the exhibit. The members are:

Robbi Joy Eklow -- Robbi Joy creates detailed geometric designs on her computer and then fabricates them using fused applique, hand-dyed fabric and unmarked free motion quilting. (www.robbieklow.com)

Ann Fahl -- Ann’s work always includes colorful imagery covered with free-motion embroidery and quilting. (www.annfahl.com)

Beth P. Gilbert -- Beth is inspired by her travels and turns the experience into art.

Denise Havlan -- It is Denise’s goal to create images through which the viewer will see the beauty and elegance of our living world. (www.denisehavlan.com)

Annette M. Hendricks -- Annette blends her drawing and painting skills with artistic piecing, applique and threadwork. (www.quiltinglife.com)

Rachel Wetzler -- Rachel’s work is characterized by strong visual impact, imaginative use of color and attention to detail.
