Marcus introduces Bonnie Blue Basics by Paula Barnes

Marcus Fabrics is pleased to announce the Summer 2008 release of Bonnie Blue Basics and Backgrounds, the first Marcus collection designed by noted reproduction quilt specialist Paula Barnes. The fabric line is a natural progression in a long-standing collaboration that has developed over the years between Marcus Fabrics and Bonnie Blue Quilts. Paula has now created the perfect palette to accompany all of the reproduction fabrics quilters love to use.

Marcus is developing the collection as complete in-stock program, with plans to expand its offerings in the future. Marcus’ commitment to long-term availability encourages use of the entire line in kits, block-of-the-month projects, and other retailer promotions that require longevity. The collection features a range of colors and patterns that can easily be utilized on their own, or as “blenders” to be merchandised alongside best-selling Marcus reproduction and museum collections.

Quilters who are already familiar with Bonnie Blue quilt patterns will love to incorporate these new basics into their quilts, yet they also lend themselves to quilting styles that go beyond the reproduction category. Bonnie Blue Basics & Backgrounds will debut with 37 prints in August 2008.
